- Do you use real alcohol to mix drinks?
- No, we fill actual brand name bottles with water-based mixtures that mimic the color and texture of the original alcohol. This allows you to create very realistic looking drinks and to recognize the different types of bottles found in a bar.
- If you don't use real alcohol, how will I know if the drink has the right taste?
- We teach you to create perfect drinks that look, smell, and taste wonderful!The secret to a perfect tasting drink is proper measuring of all the ingredients. This is the only way to ensure a consistent great tasting drink that will have your regulars coming back again and again and keep those tips flowing!
- What is the school's training area like?
- It is a very realistic bar setting! With 14 training stations - each with it's own blender, ice, glassware, gun, and more! This is the real deal - We teach you to create perfect drinks in a real bar atmosphere. You will leave here ready to work!
- How can you offer the Master of Mixology Program with such low tuition?
- Our school has been helping people become bartenders for 30 years. With all that experience we can operate very efficiently and our building and equipment are paid for. We have a well respected reputation and so we do not need to spend big money on advertising. Our graduates speak for themselves! Because of our low overhead we can happily pass the savings onto you.
- What if I am late or miss a class?
- Our program is very flexible - just call and let us know and one of our instructors will be happy to work with you to keep you on track.
- What happens if I feel I need more than 2 weeks?
- Not a problem. We want you to be very confident in your new career. There is no charge to stay longer and of course refresher courses are free.
- How long will it take to get a job?
- This depends on the student and your motivation. Some students find work before they are out of school and others take a little longer. Either way, we will do all we can to assist you. Our bartenders are in high demand!
- Will I get help finding a job?
- We will help you find that job. We have a very successful placement rate and our bartenders are in high demand!
- How many times will the school help me find a job?
- We are here to help you thoughout your career. You can count on our job placement assistance not just right after graduation but also through the years. With over 30 years of helping our students - you can count on us!
- What type of bar will I be able to work in?
- At the Midwest Bartender's School are standards are the absolute highest. Our school will train you to work in any lounge, club, or bar. We will give you the knowledge and the skills to help you succeed where ever YOU choose to work.
- What are the age limits?
- We have had students as young as 14 and as old as 85. There is no age restriction on training to become a bartender. While the minimum age in Nebraska to serve alcohol is 19, there is no age restrictions on training to be a bartender.
